🌺 September Reflections: Between Tributes & Aspirations

Saturday, September 13, 2025

September has been a month of balance between heartfelt tributes and meaningful learning. Much of my time was devoted to preparing retirement tributes — from arranging videos to coordinating performances, and even choosing the right outfit for the occasion. Each detail felt like a small gesture of gratitude, a way of honoring the years of dedication given to education.

Alongside these preparations, I attended a nation-building course that deepened my understanding of the government’s aspirations for the future. It reminded me that teaching extends far beyond the classroom walls. We are shaping not only learners’ knowledge, but also their values as future citizens of this nation.

Amidst all this, I found light-hearted joy in working with Perky Piung. Creating captions, visuals, and little sparks of creativity reminded me that teaching thrives on both the serious and the playful.

✨ This September reaffirmed for me that teaching is a bridge — a way of paying tribute to the past, while preparing the next generation for the future.
