๐Ÿ–ผ️ Posters with Purpose: Exploring Places of Interest on iPad

Monday, September 15, 2025

Hello friends! ๐ŸŒธ

For my second Explore Activity in the Apple Teacher Portfolio, I decided to try something creative with my learners—designing a poster featuring one place of interest. ๐Ÿž️✨

The goal was simple yet meaningful: learners needed to capture photos, choose the best one to represent their hometown, and then create a poster on Pages for iPad. ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐ŸŽจ This wasn’t just about making something pretty—it was about practising language skills, organisation, and creativity all at once.

Learners demonstrated their learning by:

๐Ÿ“ท Taking photos of a chosen place of interest

๐Ÿ“ Thinking about why it represents their hometown

๐ŸŽจ Using Pages to design a neat, eye-catching poster

๐Ÿ’ก Adding details to highlight the importance of their chosen place

What I loved most about this activity is how it activated all their senses. Learners had to plan, focus, and make decisions—what photo to use, what words to write, what design to pick. It turned into a real-world task that felt purposeful, and they were proud of their finished posters. ๐ŸŒŸ

Using technology enhanced the process beautifully. Instead of struggling with messy papers, rulers, and markers, Pages made it quick and smooth. Learners could explore layouts, colours, and fonts—making the poster look professional while focusing on expressing ideas. ๐Ÿ™Œ

This activity showed me once again that when creativity meets technology, learning becomes more fun, engaging, and powerful. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’ป

Can’t wait to share what comes next in my Apple Teacher Portfolio journey! ๐Ÿš€

With love,

Teacher Asniem ๐Ÿข
