Terdapat lima bidang tugas utama kerja Guru Cemerlang:
1. P&P matapelajaran kepakaran
2. Memimpin dan membantu tugas kurikulum dan kokurikulum matapelajaran kepakaran
3. Pakar rujuk khidmat bimbingan guru dan pelajar
4. Menjalankan kajian penulisan, inovasi matapelajaran kepakaran
5. Menjalankan tugas-tugas yang diarahkan PPD/JPN/KPM
Bagaimana bekerja dengan cemerlang sebagai Guru Cemerlang
1. Mempunyai visi dan misi professional diri sendiri-ada sasaran kerja yang jelas
2. Mempunyai perancangan kerja
3. Membina personaliti
4. Membina jaringan professionalisme
5. Meningkatkan kemahiran dan pengetahuan
He showcased some of his work at the seminar and I took photographs of some.
Another presentation was by Prof. Madya Dr. Mustapa Kassim from CAS, UUM. The title of the presentation: Crafting the future and making a difference.
He emphasized on the three components of the human being which are:
1) The Mind
2) The Soul
3) The Desire
Basically he asserted on this point:
"Education must focus on building the thinking capacity of a person."
The presentation central around this topic and he highlighted quotable quotes from prominent people of our times.
The seminar indeed helpful for teachers who aspire to do their best and the correct way to do things concerning their day-to-day activities. I believe documentation of the teaching and learning activities must be practice by all to develop good habits and instilling pride in work and increasing accountablity.

Currently I'm reading a book written by Jodi Piccoult (2001) entitled: Salem Falls. It's been a while since I last read a fiction. :)
I wish to share some of the phrases and sentences that I found interesting
and it is the expression we seldom use (I mean those who use English as a second language). Furthermore, I find the expressions related to the culture and that is another reason why it is interesting to note.
1. "Delilah, who died and left you king?"
2. "Bubbles rose inside him, the carbonation of happiness."
3. "People change, but only if you give them room to do it."
4. "The ones with Y chromosomes."
5. "....small sursurrations of surprise swept through the rows."

Students were ask to write 5 sentences based on the situation in the picture.

It has been a week since I first set up this blog. I've been contemplating on what to write in my first entry. It's not easy to do this, since I am an English teacher with little flair for writing... ;)
Well, here goes...
Being a teacher opens my eyes to something different. It's like seeing one thing in many perspectives. The decision a teacher made affect eternity...like the wise Henry Adams put it...
"A TEACHER AFFECTS ETERNITY, HE CAN NEVER TELL WHERE HIS INFLUENCE STOPS"
I set up this blog to help me enrich my teaching and learning activities as well as motivating myself to develop myself further. I also hope my pupils will give me a visit anytime soon, browsing through the sites I've suggested.
This is how I hope to plant my footsteps for the next decade. I pray for God to give me strength and guidance in my years to come as an educator. Insya Allah...
