Did this with textgram on my tablet, lovely eh?
I bought several polka printed cloth, again. Got into polka frenzy, right after my laminating frenzy. Guess frenzy is my new best friend. The cloth is not expensive, just RM2.80 per metre. I bought 4 metres altogether.

Can't get enough of it
My first project with the cloth is to give my notice board a new makeover. Actually I was hoping that this makeover will last longer than the previous one. It kept falling off the wall! You can see the sticky all over the wall, yuck!

The picture is upside down, but you still can see the sticky.

Another big book I would like to share. The story is from the Year One KSSR Textbook.
It is not my idea. I got it from one of the courses I went to. The facilitator suggested teachers to make a big book of their own. He proposed for a A3-sized folder but I find it expensive, so I make do with my A4 folder and this is it.
Sadly I forgot to snap the pictures of the finished product, but you can have a glimpse of it in the videos below. My son is the star reader in both videos. I hope his voice is audible enough.
The stories are from the textbook. Here are the soft copy if you want to print it on an A4 paper. I printed the stories on a pre-designed paper so that it will be very colourful. I love colourful papers and design, although some might say its a little crowded and looked childish, but I love it! :)
I hope to make more of these as we go through the unit. Till then, enjoy!

I love motivational quotes. I love them displayed around. It serves as a constant reminder in our hectic daily routine. We need to be aware of our potentials, what we can do and achieve. In bad times it can help to build your spirits, keep them focus in the right direction.
I thought to put up a long banner in my room with my favourite quotes but it cost a lot! At least to my pocket though. A banner cost RM95 inclusive of labour charge. So, what I did was to print out my favourite quotes on a pre-designed paper, then to paste it on a foam so that it add some body to it.
The foam was cut into the exact shape of the paper and my children help me to colour it. The end would be wrapping it with clear plastic in order to prolong its life. I will stick it in my room on Thursday and put up the pictures soon.
Doing this makes me feel motivated to find some other ways to decorate my room with minimal spending.

First of all, I am not a fashion guru or any kind close to that. It's funny when trying to reflect back on the grooming class yesterday. With the knowledge and experience that I have combined with a small-scale research on the internet, I put together a presentation for my year 6 girls.
My intention was to get them to engage in an activity since post-exam in September 2011. However, I want the activity to have direct involvement with me so that I have a chance to spend time with them, getting to know them a little bit more before their departure for secondary school next year.
The materials I've gathered are suitable for their understanding. The medium is Bahasa Melayu. I don't want them to misinterpret everything I said or did. The class went well with some naughty thoughts and comments from the participants, well that's bring life to the class though... :)
In the middle of the class, while presenting I try to put myself in their shoes, trying to understand their needs and wants. I also find that by relating to my past experiences and revealing secrets which their parents might be embarrassed to tell make them feel at ease and able to capture their attention. Well some of those were not reflected in the slides, I'll leave it to your imagination. ;)
Thank you to the girls who came. It means a lot to me when you choose to come to my class and enjoying yourself. I wish you all the best and I am always here if you need to talk.
I'm sharing all the materials I've used for the class. Feel free to contact if you need further explanation on some of the things discussed.
