The lesson progress in this manner:

1. Introduction of vocabulary
2. The meaning of words
3. The drawing of fictional family tree and own family

Activities 1 to 3 are pre-reading activity. The text in focus is on page 2 of the year 5 text book, the conversation between Aiman, Sofia and Grandpa. Post-reading is answering 3 comprehension questions in the textbook.
