Week 15 Reflection: Between Panic and Progress 😅📚✨

Week 15…

Ahhh, this one came back to me slowly.

At first, I thought I couldn’t remember much. But as I sat down and reflected, everything started to piece itself together — and oh my… this week was a mix of mini panic + meaningful progress 😆🤍

2Z – A Quiet Realisation😮‍💨🔤

For 2Z, we concluded the topic “At School.”

And only while writing this reflection…
I realised something that made me pause.

👉 That topic is actually a Year 1 topic, not Year 2.

And the thing is…
the learners didn’t say anything.

No confusion.
No questions.
They just followed along.

That made me reflect deeply.

Was it too easy for them?
Or are they just used to following without questioning?

With exams coming in 2 weeks, I did feel a bit anxious. But instead of dwelling on it, I’m choosing to move forward with intention.

👉 For the next two weeks, I will focus on:
✨ strengthening core vocabulary
✨ helping them understand and respond confidently

This moment reminded me that:

✨ teaching is not just about content
✨ it’s also about checking understanding
✨ and creating space for learners to speak up

And as a teacher…
I am learning too 🤍

3Z – Sentence Patterns & “Reading in Disguise”💬📖✨

For 3Z, I focused on building sentence patterns:

👉 I want to be a ______.
👉
I will work at ______.
👉
I will ______.

They worked on:
📝 1 paragraph about themselves
📝 2 paragraphs about their friends

And here’s my favourite part…

Most of the answers were already in the textbook —
but I asked them to find it themselves.

👉 Reading… in disguise 😏✨

They were actually:
✔ locating information
✔ understanding meaning
✔ applying it into writing

We also had a revision session with listening activities 🎧 from the textbook.

Even though I may not be perfectly on track with the yearly plan, I’m grateful that:

👉 we are reaching Unit 3 by Week 16

Alhamdulillah 🤍

5B – Full Cycle Learning (LSRW!)🔄🧠

For 5B, this week felt very satisfying.

We went through the full LSRW cycle:

👉 Listening
👉 Speaking
👉 Reading
👉 Writing

Alhamdulillah 🤍✨

I started with vocabulary building, then moved into:

💬 Speaking
They interviewed Perky Piung 🐢 using a word grid to generate questions — engaging and fun!

🎮 Grammar Games
(I shared grammar notes via WhatsApp the day before 📱 — small prep, big help!)

✍️ Writing
We ended with the
writing burger 🍔

I gave them 20 minutes…

…but 😅 many still couldn’t finish.

Which tells me:

👉 They are not there yet
👉 but they are on the way

So we will try again this week 💪✨

Tech Integration – Small Steps, Big Impact

💻✨

This week also reminded me how much technology is supporting my teaching.

From the graphic I created:

📌 Canva – designing visuals and story ideas
📌 ChatGPT – generating prompts and structuring content
📌 CapCut – polishing visuals and video edits

And even simple tools like:
📱 sharing materials on WhatsApp before class

These small integrations help to:
✨ prepare learners earlier
✨ increase engagement
✨ support different learning styles

I’m still learning… but I can feel the difference 🤍

Teacher Reflection
🌷

This week reminded me that teaching is not always neat.

Sometimes:
😅 we move too fast
😅 we realise things a bit late
😅 we feel slightly off track

But at the same time…

✨ learners are learning
✨ lessons are becoming clearer
✨ systems are forming

I am not perfect.
But I am moving forward.

Final Thoughts🤍

This week was:

😮‍💨 a little stressful
📚 quite productive
🌱 quietly meaningful

And through it all…

Alhamdulillah 🤍✨

And hehe… if future you reads this:

“Ah, yes… that was the week I panicked a little…
but also grew a lot.” 😄💛
